The actress, clad in a black leather raincoat, smiles broadly at the camera, hands jauntily thrust in her coat pockets. Beaton chose the coat for the actress' use in the 1969 Broadway musical, "Coco," and was also the play's set designer.  Hepburn has inscribed the photograph: "David, affectionately, Kate." The recipient, David Eichler, was a close friend of Hepburn's and the two corresponded for sixty years.  Photograph. Fine.

The freckled subject sits in front of a stone wall outside her Connecticut house clad in a white suit and sporting a red cap, regarding the camera serenely with the beginnings of a smile on her lips. The photograph is inscribed by Hepburn: "David from Kate." The recipient, David Eichler, was a Philadelphia schoolmaster and real estate mogul with whom Hepburn corresponded over a period of sixty years. Handsomely framed and matted under museum glass. Fine.
